COVID-19 Update

In light of the escalating spread of the virus, MG Homes has decided to stop all visits to the home. Therefore we ask relatives to not come to either home until further notice.
However in exceptional circumstances we will consider visits from relatives. Please contact me on 01892 864429 if you believe this applies to you.

To mitigate the removal of visits we can arrange Skype calls with loved ones. If you want to do this please can you call the home where your relative is and request a Skype call to be arranged.

We thank you for your consideration and understanding in these unprecedented times, and hope you all stay safe.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us via phone or email to pat@mghomes.co.uk

Thank you in advance for your patience and co-operation.

Best Wishes
Yours sincerely

COVID-19 Coronavirus

The UK remains in the containment phase of tracing coronavirus cases to prevent it spreading in the community.

MG Homes are committed to ensuring that we keep all our residents and staff as safe as possible and as a preventative measure we are asking visitors, including family members and friends, to minimise visits to our care homes until further notice.

Therefore we ask you restrict your visits to a minimum in order to keep your loved ones, and all our other residents, as safe as possible. We have not taken this decision lightly, and appreciate this may cause some discomfort, but believe this a necessary step to take. If there is a situation that requires a non-routine visit we ask you discuss this with Pat, the Manager, or Elena, the deputy Manager, so to ensure appropriate precautionary measures are taken to limit any potential risk.

Furthermore we are limiting visits from the local community and cancelling external entertainment for the foreseeable future. Our staff will do all they can to ensure life in our services remains as comfortable and sociable as possible. We will still ensure vital medical visits happen, and will be sure only visitors who are not displaying symptoms enter the homes, and they wash their hands on entering. We would appreciate your support with these measures.

Please be reassured we are closely following and complying with Public Health guidelines to ensure we keep our residents safe, and that our staff are supported to continue to deliver great care. In the unfortunate situation that we do have a case in one of our homes we will need to prohibit all visits and will inform you accordingly.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us via phone or email to pat@mghomes.co.uk

Thank you in advance for your patience and co-operation.

Best Wishes
Yours sincerely

Coronavirus Information

As the Coronavirus situation in the UK evolves, the home has a duty to take precautions and make contingency plans for various scenarios.

We are writing to assure you that we are taking that duty seriously. We continue to monitor Government advice and act appropriately.

In accordance with Government advice, we request that you do not enter the home if:

  • You have been to an affected place, as defined by the UK Government, in the last 14 days, or
  • You have had contact with somebody with Coronavirus, or
  • You have symptoms of cough, fever, shortness of breath.

We also ask that, when you visit, you observe the various notices around the home relating to hand hygiene, and respiratory and cough hygiene. Please use the alcohol gel sanitizers located throughout the home.

It is possible, that the local situation could evolve to a point that we must exclude all-but-essential visitors to the home for a period of time, with permission to enter the home being given on a case-by-case basis.

We will use this page to advise about the current visiting status.

We will take a common-sense approach in line with prevailing public health guidance in any decision about when, and for how long, to stop our usual open visiting policy.

We thank you for your cooperation and we will continue to keep you updated as necessary.
